One question, what Wally choses the British act to go to Europe, and how much money do they pay to be picked. Surely we have far singers and groups than what went in our name, and if we don't then things have come to a sorry state.

We could have put in Frank Sinatra in disguise and we still would have scored 0 points for two reasons.

1.) Because it has nothing to do with the music, it's only political

2.) He's dead

I cannot believe how supposed developed nations can act so child like and petty. Bring back the British Empire, let's instill some respect into these monkeys.

RIGGED? OF COURSE IT IS
By Patrick Mulchrone

A DAILY Mirror investigation of Eurovision Song Contest voting records confirms what everyone always thought - it's rigged.

Forget Eurovision legends such as Abba, statistics show that international love-hate relations count for more than music.

For example Greece always votes for Cyprus, and vice versa. Since 1975, Greece has awarded a total of 124 points to Spain, 100 to France - and 157 to Cyprus. Cyprus gave 63 to Britain, 90 to Ireland... and 172 to Greece.

The Scandinavian countries, Norway, Denmark and Sweden also give each other large percentages of the vote. However, since 1975 Britain has scored the most points - 2,753 - of any competitor.

Terry Wogan's theory of a backlash over Iraq holds water.

Over the years, Germany and France gave most of their votes to Britain - until last night.

I say no more...

Ok then, nobody in Europe likes us cos we dont want to play with them anymore, Uncle Tone says we have to play with the rich kids over the water cos we get to join in all their great games...

Oh and the group were crap anyway! Its great what a bit of recording studio trickery can do isnt it?

I think that just about covers it all really!

Skiffle, they used to do that many years ago, but BBC alwys chose the songs and singers that you could chose and that range was very limited.
I wonder what would happen if we stopped going to the damn thing.

I noticed that TATU did not get freaky on stage  like they said they would, that's probably why they did not win.

Russia have made an official complaint about their Eurovision Song Contest entrants Tatu's third place result.

The country's TV station Channel One, which is owned by the Russian government, want an appeal - or re-think - on the results.

They say the girls have had hits all over the world and were robbed of a win because they were given "unlikely low points" by certain countries.

A Channel One spokesperson claimed a technical hitch meant the Republic of Ireland's public votes couldn't be collected and counted.

Turkey's prize

Instead, a jury decided who should get what points, he said.

Because there was only a three point difference between the winners Turkey and Tatu, the Russians think this could have made a huge difference.

Rules followed

Bosnia-Herzegovina and Russia also used a jury instead of public votes because they didn't have the right telephone system to cope with national voting.

A spokesperson for the competition organisers, the European Broadcasting Union, told Russian journalists: "All the rules were followed."

The Eurovision Song Contest has always been complete tosh, why did any of you watch it? You should all get out more, the lot of you, join a club, go to the pub, talk to people, anything but watch the Eurodismal Tosh Contest.

Right now I'm off to watch Neighbours.
