SNiDE, your right the badge in the pic is the (headdress badge)of the
Parachute Regiment ,Airborne was a patch of a winged horse & rider, in days of BD worn upper left & right arm, done away with since 16 AA was borne, the airborne badge is on gravestones all over the world.

I dont even care if im getting waaaahhh'd to the max here....
Its not the "Head-dress badge" of the parachute regiment. That badge is on my picture, left. It is the wings badge which you receive if you are a trained Parachutist.
But you are correct about the Pegasus badge, which we no longer wear.

The reason it looks different is probably cause you've only ever seen the badge with the blue wings and white parachute, this one is the "camouflage" type ( I've not got a clue what it's really called ) which are designed to blend in with the uniform.

Subdued is the word I think you're looking for Alfa.

The exhibition looks awesome I'd love to go and see it, pity it's in London.

Cheers for the jokes, reference melon, get it down!!
So easy to criticise! That thing was drawn with borrowed lumicolours, in 50 degree heat, freehand, in between mortar attacks.

Buckshee.
SH, dont listen to it; MQ was a bluff....only 26 days out of 52 were in contact, and just 26 airstrikes in a 10 day period
Plenty of time for a spot of painting....f*cking rather.
