The oldest guy in my troop during RT was 28 years old. He was very switched on and went on to be our kings bageman.
However, remember Muhamad Ali won the world heavy weight title for the 3rd time at 50 years old. Okay, he didn't look fantastic but it was the world title and he was 50. That's nearly twice as old as you so based on that, physically, you're still a young guy who will probably hit his physical peak during RT.
Go for it mate. Only you can conquer your percepton of age, which really isn't much older than some footballers in their peak.
