A friend of mine has just joined the military. He said one of the reasons he joined up was because he didn't want to reach old age and be asked by one of his grand children what he had done with his life, with very little for an answer.
He wanted to be in a position to reel off a whole host of stories and experiences or exploits if you like, during his military career.
Well, he'll certainly have the answers now if he's asked in later life.
Ask your gobby friends what they are planning to do with their lives? You may find their answers interesting.
At least you know where you are heading, which will very probably hold far greater challenges and experiences than they could possibly imagine or would possibly ever see. And all the very best of luck to you too.
