Perhaps you've missed on what led him to post this.
Artist's been a member here long enough for most to know who he is and what he's done, yet some nobbers still manage to question him (as they do other BTDTs) and reply with complete disrespect.

There is no questioning the content nor the intent of his post. Like I said: "perhaps" you missed on all that led to his starting this thread, but the implication of your phrase quoted above
cannot stand.

No, I would not deprive you of this opportunity to either delete or modify your post. Do some more research on the parties involved before shooting from the hip. Because that is what you did.
You'll know you got me upset once you get a first warning from me.

Just look a bit deeper into it. Safety of his bedroom? Threaten someone who in his eyes is a walt?
The man who was the reason behind this thread IS A WALT and in MY opinion, worse.

I am also a comparative newcomer to the forum. Frank and Artist are established and well respected members of the forum, so I listen to their views on matters that are posted.
This thread in particular is quite apt in that lately a lot of young lads and lassies register here to obtain free advice on matters military, whereby members are only to happy to help if they can.
With this in mind, the reason for this thread is Artist's timely reminder that walts or nobbers on the forum stifle debate and generally mislead people to the point where it descends into argument, which isn't helpful to anyone.
Now, some would say, given my profile(not exactly one of the nations finest)...'What the f**k would you know Tam'.... maybe so. Call me a walt or a nobber if you like, it's your call.
I just wish I had this kind of resource available to me when I was joining up.

At no time did I mention any names in my intital post. But I meant what I said. I wrapped with MF&T a few weeks ago due to the influx of Eijuts posting dangerous and stupid Advice to the wannerbies.
Just lately a few have started to do the same here and it ain't welcome as it just opens a can of worms that creates aggro.
Taffmad fill you boots ref abuse. Water off a ducks arse as far as I'm concerned. Silly Billies are always there ready and waiting to have a pop at other people from the safety of a Keyboard.
Most are guttless little nonentities who's claim to fame is normally along the lines of "I've read all the Andy McNob books so know what I'm talking about" variety.
Just have a look at my website Taffmad. Tells you where you can meet me on any given Saturday, even gives my mobile number. So come and have a chat sometime. There, an open invite to meet me, gosh are'nt I nice then? Oh and my Putors in the dining room in point of fact.

Hang about Harry, where have I said I was upset.
I do get a little tired reading about the walt anti walt posts. First we have a poster, normally SF making either a complaint/threat about a walt or walts in general. Then we have the obligatory support messages from the back slappers, which then generates messages about fat guys in pubs wearing combats that a poster bumped into. Fat guys are then ousted and the details posted. It has become a cottage industry. We have heard it all before, same stories nearly every day...It has become so boring..know what I mean Harry?

Not quite as boring as getting PMs asking all sorts of completely bone questions, often degenerating in the nobber either gobbing off or even threatening the member they chose to "harrass".
There's a lot more than appears on the threads.

Well guess what: there is worse. And I submit to you that there are idiots who choose to address serving or retired Bootnecks and SF personnel rather than Army/Navy personnel, asking questions such as "how does it feel to kill someone?"
So why should BTDTs bother posting here? to banter with oppos and provide guidance and advice to younger members with a genuine desire to join the forces.
Not to have absolute prongs try to get under their skin.
You may find "rants" against walts and nobbers boring, but you have no clue how far they can go in their harrassing tactics. As a mod, I'm not standing by to see people like Artist get this kind of abuse, period.
Take your "back slappers" comment and sit on it.
Is that clear to you now?
