Cool, I understand the stretch now.
I am seeing a physio already, half an hour about every 2 to 3 weeks. I do not know what muscle massager you refer to, but having tried to "knead" some of the tighter muscles myself I did find that they are all very painful.
Actually I would say both knees hurt, left has caught up with the right.
Ironically I developed this problem (or at least brought the existing problem to a head) after months of road running to get fit enough to pass the army fitness tests.
I will do these stretches about twice a day, I was told to do specific outer thigh stretches but I find those very innefectual and awkward to do. The one given relies on me having use of the I'M A SCAMMER SPAMMER!!! table and using nothing more than my inner thigh to pull across and stretch the outer thigh.
Since you seem so sure that these glute stretches alone can do a lot I will try my best.
