Small business owners like to point out that illegal aliens do the jobs that Americans don't or won't do, blah, blah, blah. So what?

Let's just say, for arguments sake, that every perceived advantage to illegal aliens is true; there are still more disadvantages. Name me an advantage to illegal immigration, I'll name you two to three disadvantages. Simple as that.

My jurisdiction isn't typical, we have more marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms than anything. There's meth around town though.

In the rest of the state meth is dominant. Usually because of oilfield workers and types like that.

Nah, I'm not gonna pick on you. You already see the problem of having illegals in the jail and the cost. Now just imagine if Congress makes it a felony, or even a misdemeanor. Your jail could be overflowing in a hurry with no funding to take care of it.

As for meth, my home area (on the Mex border) is 80% hispanic, but the meth cooks (the ones busted at any rate) are mostly white. Drug and human smuggling is a different story.

On a side note, I talked to my mom and there was very little, if any, protests in my hometown on Monday. The only thing that happened was a blockade at the border crossing and it was about the price of gas, not immigration. It just goes to show that not all hispanic immigrants were in favor of the protest. Most of the ones I know came here legally and resent the ones who didn't. Sadly, those people don't make the news.

Puerto Rico is not a state.
It is counted as a dependency.
It gets more of our tax $ than it deserves.
They pay no federal taxes but get a whole bunch of federal money.
They don't speak english and have no intention of doing so.
Been down there several times.
Most of them with any sense realise that they are better off as a depedency

The people who went on strike in the US, i.e. the illiegal immigrants, at least WANTED to be Americans and were quite happy to swear the Oath of Allegiance to the USA.
Compare that - with the people wanting to come to Britain, who have no intention of swearing allegiance to this country. And in fact are here to claim benefits and at the same time, work to de-stabilise this country by instigating terrorist acts.
