Sorry Artist, but fairly sure that's a myth...seem to remember that it was first written in the late 1500's during Elizabeth's reign (ie by someone who wasn't a contemporary of Anne) to impugne her mother's character, and thus Liz, by implying that Ms. Boleyn was a witch, apparently such physical deformities were bona fide proof of witchyness, same guy also said she had three nipples, broom, hat, cat and so on...well, three nipples at least.

O Really. Shame. But the fact are these:

They did in fact dig up Anne about fifty years ago to check up on this "fable" And it was a fact. At birth her extra finger was removed in order that she would not be burnt as a Witch.

I recall a L/Cpl Paul Burns, Para Regt, in Cyprus in '85. He'd lost half a leg at Warren Point and was one of the instructors at the Cyprus Combined Services Parachuting Centre. His PLF's were shyte, but he could jump a ram air rig with the best of them (he'd just been transferred from the Red Devils to CCSPC). He had no probs with his prosthetic. I was having a brew, sitting on the end of one of the rigging tables one day when I hear this, "OI!". I jumped out the way just in time for Paul to touch the top of the coffee urn with one foot before a picture perfect landing. Flash git!
