It`s summer up there ffs
Down here I`m freezing me tits off
Only twenty three today and I stayed indoors as much as I could. Brrrr

More bearable as in 45 degrees instead of 55. Which wouldn't be too bad sat by a pool, drinking slush puppies and staring at other types of puppies. However not much fun in body armour, helmet, webbing etc.
Should be good down your way by the time we descend on you Harry, get the barbi ready to rock mate!

We`ve gone "barby mobile" now mate.
Crimbo is high thirtys mate, but the oggin is still warming up after winter so it`ll only be about twenty two

Never mind, there`s always the pool
Have you spoken to Jase lately? PM any messages and I`ll send `em on
cheers

LIAR! Would have seen you if you were!
How's it looking out there?
Yeah, fair one. It's about time you handed those barrage balloons back in actually!
It's ok, still dodgy. Weather's a bit more bearable now.
These puppies are staying right with me
Good to hear you're safe and well, I wonder who that strange looking dude in the gallery is though

Just found this video of the Canadian Army in action in the lovely town of Sangin, Afghanistan.
They had some big contacts while 3 para was there...

Check out the guy on the roof with the machine gun firing from the hip!
Love how one of them says, "i dont get it how that guy's not dead yet!"

Amazing vid....was it like this EVERY day? It was a rush just watching it...
Laughed at the 'whoooosh' going past and this guy says, "What was that" and the reply, "f**king RPG!"

I have to say yes, it was like this for alot of days. In the town on Now-Zad with the Gurkhas i was there for 4 weeks and it was like this every day for 2 weeks, RPG's wooshing inches from heads and lots of return fire going down the range!

If you'd had a proper bar and a few easily repairable blow-up 'companions' it would have been a soldier's dream....lol

Not sure about all the stuff the initial conversation drifted onto but a large part of me joined the army to shoot guns and make big explosions and im sure 90% of other soldiers in combat arms would say the same thing
