18 year old male from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Got a Britsh passport though as my parents are from N-I.

Dutch army is full so Im gonna try the para's ASAP 8)

Gonna start running like a crazy dog the next 2 months, gonna atempt to cycle to the CZ republic from Amsterdam (1000 kilometers)

Cool, what are you going to do once you get there? You do realise that once there, you have to come all the way back. :wink: Why not cycle over here to the AFCO in London, probably just as far.. :)

The Dutch army is full, how many troops are in the Dutch army ??

I have been to Amsterdam twice, quality city, hope to be going back in the a few months.

Why have you choose to join the Para's ?, I myself have choose the Royal Marines.

Once I get there I'l have a beer, take a few photo's and then take the train back, its more or less a preperation/training for the para's.

I dunno why I chose the para's, I wanted a combat trade and I heard the para's was (one of) the (most) best 'units' you could get into without any qualifications (wich i don't have :(

Welcome Gary,

The Paras form part of the Air Assault Brigade, being the main 'teeth' elements together with a line regiment from the Army.

And the airmobile brigade? Arent they the same as the para's only except the parachute jumping ?
