Alright folks, by way of an introduction, I'm a Bootneck serving with 45 Commando and have just returned from Herrick 9.
Myself and 11 others from the unit are running the Edinburgh marathon at the end of this month, with the aim being to raise as much money as possible for 'Help for Heroes'. Not content with just running the marathon in boots etc, we have decided to do it all carrying a page 3 model on a stretcher to make things a wee bit harder for ourselves.
We have set up a website at
www.justgiving.com/marinesmarathon and if anyone wants to make a donation, regardless of how small, it's all done through that. You'll notice that the website does not name all 12 runners. Injuries etc sustained towards the end of the tour have meant that the final 12 boys have been changed around a few times since the site was set up. This will all be updated asap.
