I brought that pull-up bar from argos in a pack set with a sit-up bar and some press-up bars for £14.99. Not sure of the item number im afraid.

Just remember to fit the bar properly! Or you'll end up on your backside like me when it slipped out of position!!

Before you insult someone, first walk a mile in their shoes, that way when you insult them, you are a mile away and you have their shoes.

BenGee1981, are you sure you aren’t a Argos sales man, or perhaps some kind of Argos obsessive? Three out of you're current four post have included Argos in some way shape or form :o

Stokey, what are "muscle ups" ?
When I first tried pull ups they quickly turned into f*** ups, but I'm good at them now :)

Pull ups with a dip at the end.

I prefer switch grip pull ups and clapping ones myself

I've been playing about with one of these lately:

http://www.lovepowerball.co.uk/?gclid=C ... EgodyUi6eg

It's a bit weird at first but when you get the hang of it your forearms hang out as if you've been on a climbing wall for a while.

You'll need a decent grip for the ropes, Tarzan and Assault courses etc and this seems to do the trick.

Not sure if you can get them at Argos though

I Screwed a 2 foot long, 4 inch thick piece of wood on to the top of my garden Shed Doorway with 5 inch Screws.

Works a treat.

I can do plenty of underhand ones but my overhand ones are terrible.
I can run at the bar and pull myself up, drop down half way and pull up again but I cant for the life of me pull up from a locked arm position.

Going to buy a broomstick and start doing some reverse ones lying on my back and see if they work.

I've never, ever come accross anything as impossible as overhand pullups

Lol
