As has been said not just members read this site. Young kids, parents and Joe Public have been known to browse this site as well.

All well and good having a laugh but not when it gets well out of hand. So lets all have a group hug and get back to what this forums about. Bootnecks, their training, their work and their life style.

We ain't angels but 99.9% of us have respect for the opposite sex and it shows when you meet up with a group of Royal, be they serving or served.

My point was, Sonny Jim, the posts in question were disrespectful and sexist.

I can eff and blind with the best of them and probably know far worse expletives than you do.

I do expect, however, some decorum when it comes to posting on a public site.

If you little boys want to get your rocks off comparing self-abuse notes then do what Wholley suggests and PM each other.

This forum is designed to help out potential recruits, their family and friends.

Recent threads have probably disgraced all you who have contributed and maybe dissuaded families from supporting their sons and daughters in joining up.

At least one of your ilk has had the courtesy to PM apologies for any offence caused. Manners cost nothing.

Apologies for the offence caused Flighty. Admitting I got carried away is not an excuse. It won't happen again.

Cheers for that, but you need to direct your apologies to other mums / dads / mates / all and sundry ..... not just me.

I am big and old and ugly enough to deal with b*llocks.

Some others with kids who are potential recruits and are worrying their guts out need persuading that the armed forces are fair and reasonably egalitarian.

My son has had army experience. My 18 year old daughter is seriously considering a Navy career.

I have been a member of this forum since 2004.

If I had joined recently to find out what my daughter might be exposed to should she be accepted for training and had caught sight of the recent sexist crap posted on here it would have coloured both my and her judgement.

All sorts of folk look on here for support.

Some of you are doing yourselves .... and us .... a great disservice

Au contraire ..... I think it should remain live to remind certain individuals that certain crap is unacceptable.

However, I bow to the judgement of the Mods ........ as always.

yes but haven't the certain members been told off? And by leaving this on doesn't it increase the risk of others reading it who may take offence to it ?

I hope that my comment did not offend, and am sorry if it did to anyone who has read it.

I agree that perhaps it might be better to ask the mods to delete this thread, if and/or when everyone can agree that those out of line have either been reprimanded or have toed the line accordingly.

Going by what has been said on this thread one or two members are feeling a tad silly and curling their toes up in embarrassment because they realize that they have been acting like pillocks.

All part of the learning curve ladies and gentlemen. Manners cost nought the same for respect. The offending posts have been deleted. If anyone objects then may I suggest you try another website.
