purely out of interest... is the training any different for SAS officers as opposed to trooper's?

Yes they do Hills phase, then after that officer week. They dont do Jungle.

Higher occurance of the word 'chaps', packet brew is Earl Grey rather than that 'Breakfast' monstrosity, issue smocks also come in barbour, etc.

Map-reading phase takes twice as long :wink:

Actually map reading training doesnt take place at all in the hope they will go out and not find their way back..Packet brew does not exist, tea leaves, strainer and a pot are excluded from your weight requirments.
