I think it depends how it's said. As long as it's not in a nasty way I would just ignore it.

All I can say is that when I was doing sprint triathlons some women swam, ran (mainly) or cycled past me, but that's the way it is it didn't bother me

I hate it when women complain about how they're treated differently from men but as soon as they are treated in the same way they want exceptions to be made for them. You can't have it both ways.
I'd love to be treated the same as the guys I run with, some of them are fine with me (being the only girl in a group of 12) but there are a few who are so rude to me, I don't want exceptinos to be made, I'm just as fit as all of them but they still feel it neccessary to have a go at me, ha I beat the CWOs ass in the fitness test :D

Mfat_man - some of the things they say are nasty but I just ignore it and get on with the job, no point wasting time on them. I don't know why it bothers men when there's a woman who is as good as them at something, like I've said before we're all in it for the same thing....

Ok maybe I took your post the wrong way, but you did say that they gave you a hard time because you weren't as good as them you never actually said you were as fit as them.

That's the reason why I thought you were one of those girls who want all the perks but at the same time expect an easy ride.

I'll just take this as a case of crossed wires.

I'm definitely not... train 3 days a week with the lads, it's a shame most of them are in the army section else the raf lot would kick ass at the area comp in a few weeks :( Didn't read what I was typing so I'm sorry if it came out all jumbled, didn't mean to sound like I was a girly girly lol... and as for the easy ride, well one of the guys last week twisted his ankle during the stretcher run so we carried him back on it - 4 blimmin miles lol!!!

hi,
to improve your pull-ups you need to a thing called negative reps (there is a topic on this on the marine section but i'll explain it anyway, after doing 3 sets of your maximum go into the up postition and hold for 3 seconds then lower yourself as slowly as you can ( try to make it last at least 15 seconds do this 3 times, i don't know how it works but it makes ur body used to the tiredness tha loweruing yourself induces
