I heard its a bad idea to get a corps tattoo while still serving and you can become the subject of unnecessary beastings. If you watch Cruel Holiday (Trouble channel, Sky digital number 607) the guy Marc has a 3 para tattoo, and no offence to him but it looks pretty stupid.

But thats just my opinion. Anyone is perfectly entitled to have corps tattos, it just mightn't be the best idea straight after your 30 weeks.
you gotta search within you, you gotta find that inner strength, and just pull that shit out of you, and get that motivation to not give up, and not be a quitter no matter how bad you wanna fall flat on your face

You might think that I'm being an old fuddy duddy killjoy but I had some tats done just after I passed out at 18. It was the done thing.
What you have to think about is what will they look like 30 - 40 years into the future when the six pack has become a barrel and your getting to be a bit of a wrinkly. I can tell you - they look bloody awful.

Take my advice don't get any.

Bootneck.
First tattoo by Vic Shipton in the East end of London.
Tattooist so drunk he had to do the outline(black ink)twice.
Boy,does that hurt once you get close to a bone.
Mk1 Daughter told me she could not stand the pain of having her lower spine tattoo'ed so she never had it completed.I'm sure Vic is dead by now,so hopefully I won't get sued :D

" Adam " used to be popular - even though undoubtedly painful -
anyone remember ? Stretched out to Amsterdam..if you were lucky that is.

A lot of us in Recce had an eagle on our shoulder -
to remind us of the kite hawks up country.... I think.

Hinges seemed to be 'in' during my time... on all moving parts...

Perforated line around the neck - with "cut along the dotted line"....

Didn't seem to need any reference to the Corps - everyone else seemed to understand that you had to be one of us to be mad enough to have them....

WoW .... Remember the Fox and Hounds ? - tally ho !

Just go the whole hog and go for the spider and fly. A great party trick watching them get bigger, then there was the famous zulu with the eyes on the rear which appeared on TV....
No it has to be Brit Bull Dog wearing the green lid for me and oposite arm your blood group.

Not forgetting watch the bastards sterilize the bloody needles, I had mine done in Deal when with 41, six months later Lympstone into sick bay on deaths door rushed to Plymouth and Isolation ward poor driver had to be kept in the even set fire to the metal bed I was in. twenty two weeks later I was out no alcohol and no SEX for six months, well thats what they told me to do, just like a diet couldn't keep to it for longer than ..... mmmm twelve hours.....
