ADSC 17th September

Post by walker89 »

I just did my fitness assessment at the careers office
and got 9:45 on my 1.5 with plenty left in the tank!
Got my selection dates, just wondering if anyone else
is going to Lichfield on the 17th??

Good luck on RSC and make sure there is nothing left in the tank next time

Thanks Paratrooper01, starting to get excited now
and ever more nervous!!
The only reason i didn't give it my all on the run
is because i stayed with the lead recruitment officer
and wasn't sure where the end of the route was.
I think if i push i can get below 9 minutes!
Do para recruits have any different requirements to the other
recruits other than the run time or do we all do the same things?

You want to be achieving sub 9 mins. I got 8:46 on my recruit selection and when i started at depot i finished in the upper middle of the platoon, so plenty of faster people there.

Nothing much. You will probably finish middle of the pack like i did. Just dont come last, not that you are likely to with your current times.

Its all about being the grey man in the first 6 weeks. dont draw attention to yourself for coming last or coming first.

i passed out when i was 17. youngest bloke in my platoon. so it can be done.

i wouldn't call any of your screws "dude" by the way, you might just have your first introduction to corridor olympics.

Before you would have been sent too Browning Section too get you fit enough too do it in under 9:30 and you would have too wait until the next platoon started.

But now you just crack on with everyone knowing you are a weak body
Things you feel like doing after being hit in the liver :
