"Regular" Training and Officer Training.

Post by thomasd221 »

Hello,

As you can probably tell, I'm quite new to these forums. I am 16 years of age and have just completed my GCSE examinations. I am very interested in IT and computers and always thought I would desire a profession within that sector. I never thought I would be considering the British Army, but life is full of surprises. Anyway, I have been looking at joining as a Regular or Officer, I do have a question about the training process. I will be staying in education until I am 18, at Sixth Form.

How different is the training for an Officer compared to the training for a regular soldier?

I would expect the training to be considerably harder, given the difference in annual salary. But, I am unsure.

I am quite familiar with the training for a regular soldier, but not so much for an Officer.

How much does the training differ? How much harder is it?

My head is in a million different places now haha.

Thanks very much for your time.
Thomas.

Now, just to tell my parents about my potential decision.........

To get the right answer try the recruitment offices either on line or locally. Doing that way you will get the right information.
