Dragon Military Sponsorships

#1 Post by thenard1664 » Sat 31 Mar, 2018 9:30 pm

Hey everybody,

I hope this finds you all well and in good health?

Question; have you ever heard of Dragon or drgtoken?

Former Royal Marines Commando ‘Paul Moynan’ is a co-founder of Dragon and his experience with Her Majesty’s Royal Marines Commandos has added an aggressive driving style to his social responsibility ethos within his business model.

Dragon has been on the radar for just over 4 months now and already they have become heavily involved in support and sponsorship for various events that involve serving/former servicemen and women.

Some of which are Team Brit, Rus McDonagh running the Marathon des Sables, the Great Pacific Race (Cockleshell-Pacific) and the Dambusters Miles at RAF Cosford.

Team Brit – “Team BRIT is a competitive motor racing team consisting of disabled drivers. Many are ex or serving military troops who have sustained serious injuries and are disabled. We are a competitive racing team, not a charity, and we race against teams of able-bodied drivers on a totally level playing field — something that no other sport can offer. We aim to make racing history and take a team to the world famous Le Mans 24hr endurance race, becoming the first ever all-disabled team to do so”

The Great Pacific Race (Cockleshell Endeavor) - Two former Royal Marines, Steve Sparkes and Mick Dawson, are preparing to row across the Pacific Ocean in the Great Pacific Race. Sparkes lost his sight due to a diving accident during his service in the Corps, and the men aim to raise awareness and money for two charities, Blind Veterans UK and The Royal Marine Charity. The men will set off on June 2, 2018 and row 2,400 miles from California to Hawaii. They will be among a fleet of up to 20 competitors, and it will take between 50 and 60 days to finish their voyage. Dawson is a professional sailor and one of the most experienced rowers in the world. He’s had various adventures including rowing the Atlantic Ocean twice and has a Guinness World Record, as he successfully skippered the first and only rowing boat across The North Pacific Ocean.

Marathon des Sables, or MdS, (French for Marathon of the Sands, also known as Sahara Marathon) is a six-day, 251 km (156 mi) ultra-marathon, which is approximately the distance of six regular marathons. ... This multiday race is held every year in southern Morocco, in the Sahara Desert. Former Royal Marine Rus McDonagh will attempt to complete MdS this year under sponsorship from Dragon.

The Dambusters Miles is a walk, march and run event, which will be carried out to commemorate the brave men and women of Operation Chastise, otherwise known as ‘The Dambusters Raid’. 19 teams of 7 members each will set off on the 16th May at exactly the same time the first Lancaster bomber took off from RAF Scampton, until the exact time the last Lancaster bomber landed back at base. This was a highly successful raid that slowed the Nazi war machine significantly. Unfortunately, 8 aircraft were lost during this raid. Dragon is honored and proud to be able to sponsor this event on the 75th Anniversary of Operation Chastise.

Further to the support of veterans and wounded servicemen/women, Dragon has secured partnerships with other sports entities on an international level.

Formula E Team Techeetah - The Techeetah Formula E Team is an electric motor racing team under ownership of SECA - China Media Capital that competes in the electric racing series, Formula E. The team entered the sport following the acquisition of Team Aguri and, like Dragon, has been going from strength to strength. Their latest success being at Punta del Este on March 17th when they took Pole Position.

Tim Mosedales's 7th summit of Mount Everest - Tim Mosedale, a highly experienced climber of some of the world's toughest peaks and the 10th Brit to summit Everest from both sides is scaling the beast of the east again and this time, he is flying the flag for Dragon.

These sponsorships and support provided by Dragon allow serving/former injured/able-bodied members of the forces and other members of the public/professional individuals to reach their goals and fulfill their dreams.

The social responsibility aspect of Dragon has really highlighted the ‘give-back’ intentions of the company and the buck doesn’t stop here.

Other internationally recognised organisations and companies who are/will be partnered or sponsored by Dragon are: Superrich Thailand, Dragonbet8, 7Luck Casinos, The Asian Golf Tour among many others to be announced.
