My boyfriend has just returned from Afghanistan only 2 weeks ago and things are not going well. Since he's been back he's got more and more distant with me and is not sleeping well. He wont see his family and can't show any remote affection towards me. He is just full of anger.
Everything I say or do seems to annoy him, and I just feel totally uncomfortable with him now. I just feel so helpless. What can I do to help him?
I would really appreciate any advice from servicemen who have been though similar. Many thanks for any replies.

EG you've opted to make your 1st post on what is an emotive and sensitive subject. You have provided a link to a third unknown party without any clarification of their expertise or professional affiliation to the forces. Would you care to share your knowledge / experience or expertise on this subject and your connection to / experience of this person you recommend, if any?
Servicemen cannot just go talking to any old bod who claims to something they may or may not be. There are Opsec implications.
Anybody experiencing similar problems is strongly advised to use the organisations who are already in place and have the backing and support of the MOD!

PTSD
Here is my experience of helping a family member deal with PTSD.
All the Doctors, private clinics and consultants didn't seem to have the right support infastructure. (and we tried them all) Another family member found a lecture that was being held in London which dealt PTSD and other similar related issues. I went to the lecture and was so impressed that I asked if they could help. The lecture and subsequent help was through:
http://www.mindfields.org.uk
These are people who are very profeesional and really understand the issues.
This e-mail is meant to help with a very difficult problem and is from our experience with a family member who had 23 years service.
