There's a bit of confusion with some of us over whether the RNR actually train and deploy onboard ships, or are strictly a shore support role?

Some RNR roles do deploy on ships, but mainly in a 'Force Protection' role, so standing on the upper deck with small-arms.

Does the RNR have an onbard role?
