Aldershot Training Area

Hello All,

I was just wondering if anyone knows any of the routes used on the 'old P-Company' course in the woods at Aldershot.

I'm talking about Hungry Hill, Long Valley, Sandy Hill etc.

The reason I ask is that I live nearby and was interested to see if I could have a crack at the routes in certain times etc.

Anyone know?

Alas it is to long ago to remember all those names but how I remeber all ground that had been chewed up by the tanks, trying to run through mud that was waist dep and trying to carry a telegraph pole. The more recurits dropped out the heavier it got till you were getting hit with the toggle ropes to keep you moving. AAAAAh happy days???????
