Korea Kangwon-do Cheolwon-gun ‘735 highland’ is one of Korean War's most ferocious battlefield, where the Korean army and Communist Chinese army engaged in a violent battle.
At the time, 735 highland battle was to secure Cheolwon plateau, central area of Kangwon-do, and breadbasket. The Korean army used close combat to fight Chinese human wave tactics. The hill was full of dead bodies.
62 years passed since Korean War 6.25, but there are still 130 thousand bodies to be recovered that were KIA or MIA.
What's worse is that the Korean Ministry of Defence started the recovery process for 12 years, but only 7 thousand bodies were found, and of those, only 79 were identified and brought back to the bereaved.
Seeing the Korean government's effort to recover the bodies that were missing for 60 years, we hope that not only in Korea, but the world can maintain peace, without any wars.
