3 Para

Post by Greenronnie »

Just finished reading this book about 3 Para's Helmand deployment last year. Not a bad read at all. It gives you the big picture stuff as well as the grunt's eye view.

Was quite a good read, lots of different points of view. After being out there it gave me a better understanding of the whole Op. I managed to get my swede in there, plus a mention in the Musa Qaleh section.

Here you go Harry. I got a little confused over the two ISBN's, apparantly the ISBN-13 is the new up and coming standard, but both should lead to the same book. (I presume)

My copy is suppose to be getting delivered in the next few days. I've heard nothing but good reviews of it so I'm really looking forward to reading it for myself.

Harry, Amazon are selling the book for £10 but if you have to pay the P&P then try play.com instead as it's £12 but that's with free delivery.

Not finished with it yet. A good read so far though. There is some wrong info about the danish troops E.g we never had 43 Eagles in Helmand, more like 20...

Under normal circumstances five finger discount wouldn't be a problem, but with my gammy leg at the moment there's not much chance of a quick get away for me I'm afraid!

I could still sort you a car radio or some alloys though if you like, I knows a guy, who knows a guy, who robs some guys you see :P
