Getting home

Hi there, my son is stationed at Raf Brize Norton and we live near Aberdeen in the north of Scotland. The problem we are having is finding a way to get him home for a weekend. He is the only scot on his course so has nobody to get any information on travel from. Both myself and husband are ex Raf and when we were in you could just jump on an aircraft if it was heading somewhere you wanted to go. My son thinks that this doesn't happen now, as if he could get a service flight to Raf Lossiemouth would be great. I'm hoping someone out here knows anything that may help me get my son home for a weekend. Thanks. Buchan Quine
