should I keep going?

Post by kizzer182 »

Alrite guys getting a bit down hearted about joining the forces now, been in the loop over 2 years now, my first big mistake was going for the RAF regiment sounded awesome at the time the careers office sold it to me well, went to the medical and passed then done the PGSC around this time last year, I got referred but also got advised by a few guys in there to bag a trade, so I had a good think about it and then went and applied for the army got the opportunity to apply for a job in the 'RE, awesome no dramas there, went up for the adsc and got sent home because I had blood in my urine after 3 attempts, + the heart murmur thing, got the all clear on the heart but can't understand why I'm pissing blood, just want to know if any ones been in my situation before and still managed to join, I'm fit enough to join run times are good look in good shape, got the 'muscular' note put down by the nurse, not on any gear, juice, drugs, etc although I do take creatine and protein. The doctor has no idea why this is going on going for a ultra sound scan next week. Oh and I'm not a woman on a period just incase there's any jokers out there.
Any advice
Cheers

Unless you are 100% fit the forces won't touch you. The last thing they need is you being taken ill or worse and then having the press descend on them for taking a person who was not for for the job. Also there would be you care on the battlefield and you having a funny turn under fire and then having to airvac you out. You may want to join the forces but it won't happen.

Agree with Modertor 100% and yes if your not 100% fit then you have no chance, but get that checked out ultra sound or what ever and if you get the all clear then try again. When I was serving a new lad joined our unit and he only had 3 fingers on his right hand and he got in so there is a chance who knows, Good luck Ossie

Stop taking the creatine and protein for a few days before the next urine test, and don't do any exercise the day before or the day of.
You can have peace.
Or you can have freedom.
Don't ever count on having both at once.
