Veloman,
Do you recognize these 2 guys ?
'Scouse' Long and Beevors who was a diamond.
They were with your CS squad or the one before
or after. Please advise. Thanks.
Chas.

Chas, the names are very familiar but not 689sq'.Do you have any connection to the Marines you mentioned?I certainly remember the name Beevors,......that's my nights sleep gone for a Burton trying to remember his place in the universe :)

Arwyn

PS My number was 17118,how do they line up with that?

Veloman,

Yes and I have been trying to ascertain their CS squad number for yonks.
Reason being I was attached to their squad for my CCse. X Troop ITCRM,
under command Maj.'Bull' Baven. He was supported by NS 2Lt Richard Sharp
who played rugger for the Corps, Oxford Uni and captained the England XV.
He played at fly half. The other NS 2Lt also on the training team was 'Rory'
Wotherston a Scotland international. I also recall a wiry Sgt. called 'Sticks'
Dorman.
I wanted the squad number since it is not in my official record of service.
All that is recorded is the CCse with date and completion confirmation.

Yours aye,

Chas.

Chas,

All the Trg team names you mention ,I know, especially Sticks Dorman who was 689 Sq' Commando School (X troop)Instructor. In fact we were only discussing him last week as a Squad instructor to invite to the reunion.Other instructors were :At Deal,Cpl Tom Bevan DL, C/Sgt'Black Nick'Nickolson,DL. Cpl Cahill, DL. Sgt 'Tug' Wilson PTI.: At ITCRM, Sticks Dorman,Lt Montgomery,Various PTIs,and Clr/Sgt Bill Shorter PW.I'm sure there were many others involved in shaping my attitude for the following 26 years in the Corps, but they escape me.I'm sure we passed each other a thousand times in those early years.

What about C/Sgt. Lewellyn PT1 (query spelling)? What a monster.
At ITCRM unkindly we called him rat face. In all probabilty he was
possibly a very pleasant person. I never found out.

By the time I arrived at ITC (64), as a PTI,Llewellyn had moved on to quieter postings.I did'nt get to know him to well.I think all instructors ,of all SQs,at that time, were a little mad and should have been certified. :drinking:

OK, so I can invite my faction members to my squad an destroy entities without being afraid of spaming their energy except for 5 point they need to join, right?

20 of their stats mean 20 of their base stats or of their stats crafted with gear?
