Derek Chambers - Royal Marine, HMS Nelson,MT and Dockyard

My uncle listed above died recently.. and i am trying to gather some
infornation about some of the photo`s i have..

Particularly, i have two photo`s of him and companions on the deck of
RRS Bransfield, somewhere near the Falklands in January and February 1973.

That was the time that the uk government was upgrading the presence in the Falklands
due to the Argentine placement of a "scientific" base on South Georgia..

One of the pictures shows "Mick" and on the back Derek has written Mick - lost overboard
on the way home.. aged 19. Mick was from ireland.. like my uncle.

I am very interested in any info that could lead me to more about the time my uncle was there.
