In general how many times in a month crew on duty? Is there always a rescue on a shift? How much of their "off duty" time used for keeping their flying skills or non military things?

Does Flight Lieutenant get perks? Do the other pilots dislike or resent him because of it?

Sorry! My SAR duties were when we weren't chasing Russian subs in the 1950's. Call outs were i a week average and i a month in winter ( No fools in boats in winter )
