Is my cardio routing good enough?

Post by murphy2012 »

Ok well today i did a 1.5 miler outdoors and got a horrible time of 10:22 :/
I expected much better as last week i did a 1.5 miler on a treadmill in 9:22, however it was on zero incline.
I need to knock at least 42 seconds off this before ADSC, and at the moment ive done my GR8 medical forms (passed) and i have my barb test on monday.Ive beeen informed by the careers officer it can be 4-6 weeks for ADSC after barb test, so i wondered if you think this routine will help me get there:

(only cardio listed)
Monday - Rest
Tuesday – Hill sprints
Wednesday - Interval – 6x400m 4% incline 17-18kph (treadmill)
Thursday –
Friday - Interval – 2x 1mile, 2x 800m, 2x 400m
Saturday - 1.5 mile run best effort, 1.5 mile run home
Sunday – 6 mile run with fartlek sprints
Currently applying for army, parachute regiment :)
RG8 medical forms - passed 12/10/12
Barb test - 19/10/12
