Asthma - My current position. [Advice]

Post by drgraphics »

Hey.

Not sure if a topic like this has been made before since this is my own current position and obviously it's case-by-case, however.

Basically. I applied for the british army last year, and I was deffered for 4 years as 'temporarily medically unfit'- I was told to re-apply when I'm 20, in 4 years. Therefore, if I apply for the Royal Marines in 4 years, when I'm 20 / eligible? I should be considered, no doubt?

Also, since I wasn't aware of an asthma register as long as I'm 4 years clear of not seeing a doctor about it the asthma register shouldn't matter surely? As the inhaler was prescribed as a precautionary due to a chest infection which wasn't worth an inhaler, however was declared temporarily unfit. So theoretically, since I'm only temporarily medically unfit, once the 4 years are up and I'm 20 and the date hits, I should be eligible to apply for the marines etcetera. Can others confirm this? Might sound silly, just want to make sure.

Thanks in advance,
Dan.
