As a Senior Project Manager – Engineering, you will be reporting into directly to the Project Director and working with our key stakeholders such as; Senior Management, suppliers, customers and a multi-functional team.
This role will provide you with working on a small portfolio of projects with a rough estimate of £20Million in value along with managing a small team of project managers.
Some travel will be required to various sites and globally on an adhoc basis.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Project Manager – Engineering will involve:
Developing and maintaining excellent customer relations
Managing team, or teams of teams depending upon value and complexity
Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan that embraces all elements of the project
Driving ownership of Work Packages and tasks throughout the project team
Managing the project or bid to ensure all milestones and objectives are achieved
Using project management techniques, to enable early disclosure of problems and effective implementation of mitigation actions
Achieving the agreed project cost, sales, margin and cash flow targets
Accountability for performance and delivery of program(s)
Your skills and qualifications as a Senior Project Manager – Engineering:
Previous experience in Aerospace/Defence business
Earned Value Management methodology experience
Using project management techniques, to enable early identification of problems and implementation of mitigation actions
Managing the project or bid to ensure all milestones and objectives are achieved
Excellent demonstrable programme execution skills
Broad cross functional business experience
Demonstrable ability to make decisions with clarity in an environment of ambiguity & uncertainty
Educated to degree level or equivalent – business or engineering preferably
A formal project management qualification (e.g. APMP, PMQ, PMP or Prince 2) or equivalent experience

Salary: £64,000+ Commensurate with experience
