After my husband's mother died in 1991 he stored some items of her "jewellery" which he re-discovered recently. Amongst the pieces is what appears to be a military badge. (Photo attached.)
I have cleaned it a little; now under magnification, a lion passant can be seen beneath the bugle and another on the reverse which has a rather crude pin and finish.
The badge measures 1" across and a little more from the bottom of the laurel wreath to the top of the surmounting crown. It has the letters RB just above the bugle.
After some research I suspect the badge must be connected to the Rifle Brigade or Light Infantry, and I would be most grateful if anyone can supply any further information such as its date of issue and specific regiment.

It has the Queens Crown on it, so it is either Victorian or our current queen. This badge could be the Rifle Regiment or you can check this link
