There's plenty of arguments for and against heart monitors i.e. WHat happens if you are tense before a run or it's very hot versus a day when it is cool - An articloe on it can be found at http://www.pponline.co.uk/encyc/0006.htm I'm still getting one though - It's better for assessing over-training...

As far as the training software goes 'The Count' got it a while back - He doesn't post that often but he may burn you a copy for a price as I don't believe that you can still buy it.
