Re: Passed PRAC this week
1.8 miles. you will go around it once as a troop to show you can conduct the correct technique that is required then you will do best effort straight after. it is an absoloute hangout but the most important test on the course, smash it

Re: to join the paras is the ice breaker inportant
At ADSC its fairly important but there was alot of very bad ice breakers when i was there so not too much to worry about. If you pass ADSC and eventually go onto PRAC they couldnt care less. They told us they dont care how intelligent we are ect its about becoming an elite soldier who is ridiculousl...

Re: Passed PRAC this week
I noticed that you said you did the run in 8:55, but in your sig it says you run it in 8:30. Is this because they wore you guys down before you did the run or what? I ask because rested I run the 1.5 in 8:50 and I'm not sure I can afford to slip that much myself. Also did you happen to notice what ...

Re: dog handler or soldier or both ??
My recruiter told me that the Dog Handler job was massively oversubscribed and that now they only want people with experience. Not sure if this is true or not. I also got told this. Apparently at least 2 years experience is needed preferably working in a vets or dogs home/shelter and only around 8 ...

Re: Possibly lactose intolerant- can i still join?
If your doctor has never treated you then how do you know just what is wrong with you, or is this a self diagnose. If it is a self diagnoses then how do you know you have got it right. It is a self diagnosis which i know you can never be 100% sure that you are correct but with a little experiment i...

Re: Possibly lactose intolerant- can i still join?
There is nothing on my records to say that i have any intolerance to lactoseit. I only get mild stomach alterations when i drink a large amount. Things like cups of tea, cakes, butter ect are all fine. So it will just be a case of not drinking milkshakes ect and working around it which is pretty sim...

Re: Possibly lactose intolerant- can i still join?
You'll be best asking your AFCO, but I doubt it would be a bar to entry. It may just be something that you have to deal with. thanks mate. Ye that's what i thought, i can just avoid drinking milk fairly easily throughout training and im sure there isn't going to be an abundant of milk in Afghanista...
