End of Week 23

Hello everyone, I'm now at the end of week 23 in RT, still an original, still have my section tape, so happy with that.

Any questions about training, fire away and I'll answer them as best I can.

Welcome to the forum Jock..

I'm no fitness expert, i'd put another rest day in that schedule first off. I like the idea of cross training, so throwing a swim or cycle or both seems a good idea.
A few people on here might say 'shelf the weights' and just do bodyweight circuits, or you could do ...

I passed my pjft back in late jan, phoned my acfo and he ask me when i wanted to go down to prmc, i said 3 weeks, he asked if i thought i was ready, i said yes, so he got 20th feb.

Ofens, the age limit i believe is 33 for a RM recruit.
There were a few guys in their late 20's and two in their early 30's on my prmc, so being the ripe old age of 28 that you are shouldn't matter, as long as your fit enough and its what you want to do, crack on as they say.

Hard luck JCAP3, get your injury sorted and get yourself back down there. Fair play to you if you go the officer route again as you mentioned..

Good luck with whatever you decide to do in the future, and thank's for the little pointers about foundation...

10.8 is ok, unless you have to get over lvl 11 because of a low mech comp score. On my prmc one lad dropped out at 8.8 although he had already failed, the average score was between 10.4 and 11.7, only 3 if i remember correctly passed lvl 12, i wouldn't worry to much, just give it your all...

Mephis, Just a quick question, why don't you think your fit enough for prmc? 3 miles in under 18 mins?! You have 23 mins on prmc.[/quote]

Thanks sully, as i mentioned in an earlier post, the info on this site is second to none, gives alot of the lads that are heading down to CTC a good insight of what to expect, that you don't really get from the AFCO.
