Yes your right i think. As before " survival" you have a "day out" with the ML's where they teach you the techniques you need to know like making a fire, building shelters etc...They were the same ML's that taught us. Also we never got a heli ride out to dartmoor!!

Well to put it bluntly the training beat me. I just didn't adjust as well. I think i could crack it if i went in again(easy to say in hindsight) but it is the hardest 12 weeks i have ever worked. Just a wee thread to say thanks for all the advice and randomness that mfat has supplied me with. Will keep updating throughout the training(provided I can hack it!hahaha) Its abit early but travelling tonight to my brothers in Exeter so may not get back on before training starts.

I dont know of any branches which you call "semi elite", but if you dont mind me saying so it sounds like since you have a fear of jumping out a plane you would prefer an easier option but maintain the "eliteness". So my opinion would be to try for the Paras if thats what your set on as no doubt you ...
