Still - it was some of the best training I ever had with the STABs - First Aid At Work and Health and Safety and all that - didn't get to drive the Nee-Naw unfortunately.

In case this isn't a wind-up - SFSG isn't a unit unto themselves - it is made up of various elements from all three services - predominantly 1 Para with elements of RAF ...

My old TA unit was a light recce unit and had 2 x sniper pairs on it's orbat.

Now that they've been re-roled I think the only non-sf unit to have snipers on their orbat is 4 para.

That said though it's not what you know and your PSI can always bid you on to either the 2 weeks sharpshooters course ...

Hereford has it as usual. If it ain't flooding, it's some other random meteorlogical phenomenon for the yokels to moan about.

As both SBS and SAS are Tri-Service under DSF the 'Army parent unit / rtu' thing isn't an issue.

If a Marine fails selection or gets RTU'd from Hereford he goes back to his Corps/Battalion whatever (or more likely sacks it for civvy street).
